Gay Erotica Without the Pearl-Clutchers
Zero Tolerance for Unnecessary Moderation
If you’ve been reading my work, you know I’ve been publishing on Substack for a while now and was previously publishing on Patreon. And let’s be honest, it’s been fun. Like that slightly slutty guy you meet on a night out who promises he’s adventurous, but then you get him home and discover he doesn’t even like being kissed with tongue.
Who Are The Pearl Clutchers?
Substack started out as this wild, open space for writers. A “do what you want” attitude. But then the payment processors started sniffing around. These are the same people who will happily let you blow your credit card limit on a dodgy crypto site or buy seventeen sets of steak knives at 2 a.m. after a few too many wines, but apparently two men cuddling with a hard-on involved is the line in the sand.
And Substack listens. Because they want their money. So instead of letting us grown adults pay grown adults to write grown-up things, they buckle and start clutching pearls that they don’t even own. Which means erotica suddenly feels like smuggling contraband through customs. You can post, but don’t be too explicit. You can write, but not like that. And for god’s sake, don’t mention cum.
Patreon has had the same problem for years. They’ve bent over backward for payment processors so many times I’m surprised they can still stand up straight. And every time creators push back, the answer is the same: It’s not us, it’s Visa and Mastercard. Which is a bit like saying I’d totally be into you, babe, but my parents don’t approve. Sorry, but no one’s getting off in that scenario.
Zero Pearl Clutching
Here’s the thing: we have zero tolerance for anything illegal. Obviously. But stories about sex, heartbreak, nudity, love, betrayal, or what happens when your best friend decides you need spooning and brings wine over? That’s not illegal. That’s just a day ending in day.
So here’s what we’re doing. We’re bringing the party home to FoxEmerson.com. Soon, you’ll be able to subscribe directly on the site. No gatekeepers or moderators gasping at the sight of a nipple. No payment processor standing in the corner with a clipboard making notes about whether your characters took their pants off too quickly.
And yes, you’ll still be able to subscribe through Patreon or Substack if that’s easier for you. But FoxEmerson.com is going to be our base. Our safe, smutty little corner of the internet where the stories stay raw, sweaty, funny, and unashamedly queer.
We don’t do tasteful fade-to-black, pearl-clutching or “think of the children.” There are no children here. Strictly over 18. What we do is tell stories the way people actually live them: messy, horny, hilarious, devastating, and sometimes with a very inconvenient erection pressed into your back when all you wanted was sleep.
We Are Cumming: Hard
So watch this space. Because very soon, FoxEmerson.com will have a place for all of it. The erotica, the intimacy, the heartbreak, the filth, and the laughter. Everything that makes us human. Everything Substack and Patreon get nervous about.
And if the payment processors don’t like it, they can clutch their pearls, sip their weak tea, and head back to approving multi-million-dollar porn tube sites while side-eyeing an indie writer daring to type the word cock.
Because here, the pearls are staying firmly unclutched.
Writers, this will include you. You can write here on FoxEmerson.com to your heart’s content and bring your subscribers.
In the meantime, I’m asking for your help. This site costs money to run. Please purchase any of my books to help support what I’m trying to, so we can bring more writers here and give you a safe space to read what you want.
